Kristy and Dane

One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to work with couples that are ready to try something a little different. Kristy and Dane met meĀ  today, just a few days before their wedding date, and spent about an hour tromping around a bluff overlooking Chico to get some spectacular shots. After the wedding they even want to take me up on my free Trash the Dress session. I hear mud-wrestling will be involved. A post on THAT later!

Belly Fish

Two young local entrepreneurs, Jule Weaver and Erica Alvistur, have come up with a popular new privacy pillow product they have dubbed, “Belly Fish.” It allows nursing mothers to discreetly breast feed in public. In the short time they have had the product on the market, it has won awards and the garnered the acclaim of publishers specializing in parenting. The creative minds at Farrell Design Group put together the website and printed materials and they asked me to create the images. We’ve done several shoots already and today’s was at one of Chico’s finest dining venues, Christian Michaels.

In studio fun

Just because I shoot about half of my portraits in our studio, it doesn’t mean you’ll be forced to sit stiffly on a posing stool. I had a great time the other day with Tiffanie and her daughter just goofing around on the floor.
